Our Autumn meeting of the East Pennine Association of Churchill Fellows is on Saturday the 10th of November 2018 (1pm) and are pleased to visit a completely new venue – The Hepworth in Wakefield.

Blenheim Palace, 27th of May!

There were many East Pennine Fellows at the Fellows Day on the 27th of May at Blenheim Palace! A great day was had by all! (Photograph of the East Pennine group to follow…)

The day consisted of various Fellow Talks, Afternoon Tea, Fellowship Posters, A Spitfire show, concluding with a performance by a military band!

The State Funeral of Winston Churchill

Today I was delighted and honoured to attend a service in the Chapel of St Mary Undercroft, commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the State Funeral of Sir Winston Churchill. Representing the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust as a travel fellow, along with Joanne Skapinker and Director General Jamie Balfour, I had a chance to reflect on what it means to be a fellow of the trust.

Julie Ward, Fellow of 1996 is elected as Labour MEP!

I am delighted to tell you that Julie Ward (East Pennine Churchill Fellow 1996) has just been elected as a Labour MEP for the North-West. This is an amazing achievement as she started her political journey just over 12 months ago as an outsider and ended up ranked 3rd and got a seat. Her family are all so proud of her, and so are we. Well done, Julie; great achievement.
